How to fix Mouse Lag in The Cycle Frontier

Mouse Lag Cycle Frontier – The full release of The Cycle Frontier has finally taken place. Previously, the game was only available on Epic Games Store. But it is now available on Steam, as well.

The game is a first-person PvPvE title that is completely free-to-play. The Cycle Frontier borrows a lot of aspects from Tarkov, and if you are someone who actively plays Tarkov, then you should definitely give this a try.

Anyway, the full release of The Cycle Frontier seems to have brought some bugs and errors, that weren’t previously there in the games. It has only been a day since the release, and a ton of bugs have already started surfacing. The “mouse lag” bug is one of them.

Some players are experiencing a weird mouse lag in the game, that is causing a total desync between the mice of the players and the functions in the game. Take a look what Steam user Kim has to say about this:

Mouse Lag

I literally cannot give this game a fair shot because my game will lag every time i move my mouse to look….and this is a fps game…

A lot of users have commented on the post, mentioning the exact same issue. If you ask me, this is a game-breaking issue, as this game heavily relies on mouse movement. And, without the mouse working properly, you won’t be able to do anything.

The good news is there is a fix for this issue, and a lot of users have confirmed it to be working. This fix comes from Steam user /Grawo:

Just solved it! It was mouse or its software. When I switched to old mouse which has no aditional software, game runs smoothly. Really weird, never happened with any other game. Hope it can solve your case too. (mouse I had was Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini).

So it looks like, this error is linked to software that companies ship with their mice. Razer mice are actually a good example here because they kind of force you to use Razer Synapse, if you buy their mice.

To fix this issue, all you have to do is uninstall your mouse software for the time being. I know this is not really a convenient fix. But, it is better than nothing.

To be honest, I myself was experiencing this issue with my Razer Viper Ultimate. That is when I decided to switch to my Logitech G Pro Superlight, for which I don’t use any software. And the mouse lag was completely gone.

Another fix you can try that has worked for a couple of users. You can try capping the fps of the game from the in-game settings menu. I personally haven’t tried this, so I cannot guarantee anything.
