This could differ from one monitor to another, but the common values are 3840×2160, 3440×1440, or 2560×1080.
Here’s how you can get the 21:9 aspect ratio in Darkest Dungeon 2 (step-by-step):
- Start the game, go to the main menu, and from there on, go to the settings.
- Select the graphics tab and find where it says “display mode,” select it, and from the dialog box that appears, select windowed mode.
- Now, click the resolution option and select the highest resolution possible; once again, with the people that have 21:9 support, the options available to them could look like 3840×2160, 3440×1440 or 2560×1080.
- Now press the update button, select full-screen mode, and press update again.
- Once done, you should be on a 21:9 aspect ratio!
This will set your monitor’s default resolution for the game Ultrawide to the extent it offers; you won’t be bothered by black bars or a highly stretched UI ever again! One massive issue is that whenever you exit and restart the game, you’ll have to repeat this process to get the game back to Ultrawide. While we hope that the game rolls out an update soon that supports the higher resolution, it still could take time, and this is the closest we’ve got to get that 21:9 Ultrawide!
