Fishing V Rising – Stunlock Studios’ V Rising is a vampire survival game. After centuries of hibernation, reawaken as a frail vampire. To recover your strength, look for blood in adjacent settlements while hiding from the hot sun. V Rising features a large open globe with enough room for at least 50 castles per server, allowing players to easily travel between regions. The map’s most noticeable features include lush forests and vast farmlands, as well as communities and caves/dungeons.
Now, about the fishing part. Let us start by stating the need, as to why one needs to “fish” in V Rising. Fish are a fantastic resource because they provide everything from fish oil, which is an important resource in the game, to a variety of other resources. Fish can be discovered as loot in crates, but they are uncommon. So to get Fish more efficiently in V Rising, you need to go fishing. And in this article, I will tell you how.
How to Catch Fish in V Rising
You can fish all you want in the lakes and streams, inside the world of V Rising. On top of that, you can find a variety of other objects while fishing, in addition to fish.
Let’s say that you’ve come across a lake or a stream, the first thing you’re gonna need is a fishing rod itself. Now, how to get a Fishing Rod? You can unlock the Fishing Rod by defeating Rufus the Foreman. After you beat Rufus, he will drop the blueprint of the Fishing Rod, and he will also unlock the Carpentry Bench for you, using which you can craft the Fishing Rod.
Here are the resources that you need to craft the Fishing Rod:
- 4 Coarse Threads
- 8 Planks
- 4 Copper Ingots
Just gather the items. If you have progressed enough in the game, you should have a lot of them. If you don’t, then just raid a few bandit camps, and you will have everything you need.
Once you have crafted the fishing, look for water bodies that have small bubbles coming off them. They don’t occur that commonly. But if you search enough, you will find plenty.
As soon as you see the bubbling effects on a lake or pond or stream, just go near it, put your mouse pointer on the bubbling effect, and press left-click on your mouse.
Wait for the area with the bubbling effect to glow and shoot light. As soon as it does, press left click again. Congratulations! You are now a fishing master(XD).
One thing you have to keep in mind, you cannot fish just anywhere in the world. However, there are certain ponds in the game, that offer a better spawn rate of fishes than the other ones. The one that I use the most for fishing, is the water body near the location of Rufus. I have seen fishes spawn there quite often. Here is the location:
