Another thing to know about Sons of the Forest is that it is the latest sequel to the original “The Forest” game that was a major hit back in the days. As of right now, Sons of the Forest has only been released for Microsoft Windows, assemble PC players!
As goes with basically any survival game, you’ll need to get your hands on some weapon or something that helps you keep yourself afloat against the undead creatures. The very basic weapon you should definitely have is a bow, and if you’re new to the game, this might be a bit challenging. Hence, in this article by Frontech, we’ll be guiding you with how you can craft a bow in Sons of the Forest. Here it is:
How to craft a Bow in Sons of The Forest
First off, you’ll need some basic materials as goes for crafting in any game. Here’s a list you’ll need for a bow in the game:
- Duct Tape
- Rope
- 2x Sticks
Getting Sticks in the easiest among all the items mentioned above. You can order Kelvin to get some for you, or you can just look for thin trees, open your Inventory, equip your axe, and hit them with your axe. You will get a single stick from there. Furthermore, you will also find plenty of sticks lying on the ground.
When it comes to finding Rope, you might have a difficult time finding it if you don’t already have it in your Inventory. I had found 2x Ropes near the Crash Site, so you can try looking there if you haven’t already. Search the big boxes lying there, as Ropes don’t spawn inside suitcases. In case you don’t find any there, open up your inventory and use your GPS tracker to find an icon of a cave. Head towards the location by following the river. Once you’ve followed the river for a while, you’ll notice that there are some tents close by. Make way to them, and you’ll find ropes lying next to them ample. This might take some time as compared to just finding them next to the helicopter site, of course, but you’ll surely find some.
Duct Tape can be easily found at the helicopter crash site in. What also makes them quite noticeable if you come across one is that they’re blue in color. You can’t miss these!
Once you’ve got all of these items, open up your inventory by pressing I. Now hover your mouse to the bottom right side of your screen. You will notice your Sticks there. To use the Stick in a recipe, right-click on it to Combine. For the Rope, hover your mouse to the top right side of your Inventory, and Combine it. You will find the Duct Tapes at the bottom of your Inventory.
Once you have all the things in place, the inventory gear should start spinning. Left-click on it to craft your Bow.
Now, there is no doubt that a bow is a great weapon in Sons of The Forest. But people who have a habit of aiming with crosshair, might have some trouble, as you don’t get a crosshair. You will have to sort of predict the trajectory.
