Can you custom paint cars in Forza Horizon 5?
Forza Horizon 5 offers a ton of features to its players. And that does include changing the color of your car. You can almost every single car part in Forza 5, and color it way you like it.
You won’t able to spot the feature immediately, as it is a bit hidden inside the huge collection of Menus in the game. In fact, I had a tough finding it. I was looking everywhere, and losing my mind in the process.
Currently, you can paint a total of 7 parts of your car:
- Body
- Hood
- Mirror
- Wing
- Rims
- Brakes
- Window Tint
How to change car color
To change the color of your car:
- Press Esc to open your Menu in the game
- Click on the ‘Car’ tab on top
- Select ‘Buy New & Used Cars’
- If you are outside the Horizon Festival Mexico, then you will get the option to Fast Ravel back to the location
- Select ‘Yes’
- Now click on the ‘Garage’ on top
- Click on ‘Designs & Paints’
- Select ‘Choose Car’, choose the car you want to paint
- Click on ‘Paint Cars’ now
- Now pick each part and color them individually
- There are 3 types of colors you can choose from:
- Manufacturer Colors
- Normal Colors
- Special Color
- If you want your paint to have special effects, choose Special Colors
How to change the design of your car
If you don’t want to paint your car, and want to apply a completely new design. You can do that by picking one of the community-made designs. Here is how to do that:
- Press Esc to open your Menu in the game
- Click on the ‘Car’ tab on top
- Select ‘Buy New & Used Cars’
- If you are outside the Horizon Festival Mexico, then you will get the option to Fast Ravel back to the location
- Select ‘Yes’
- Now click on the ‘Garage’ on top
- Click on ‘Designs & Paints’
- Select ‘Choose Car’, choose the car you want to re-design
- Now select ‘Find New Designs’
- Pick one from the huge collection, download and apply it by pressing Enter
Go back, and your Car should be rocking the new design.
