Age of Empires 4 allows you to pick the Server Region of your choice in the game. It is a feature that a lot of online games lack these days. Fortunately, you can pick from a variety of servers in Rogue Company.
I would recommend that you use this feature, change your server, and set it to the one that suits your connection the best. Doing this would prevent any sort of Lag or Disconnection issues. You would have a better experience overall.
How to Change Server Region in Age of Empires 4
List of servers in Age of Empires 4
As of now a total of nine server regions are available for players in AOE4. They are:
- India
- Asia (SE)
- Korea
- Australia
- UK
- Europe (W)
- USA (E)
- USA (W)
- Brazil
More server regions are on the way, though.
How to change server region
Here is how you can change your sever region in AoE4:
- Launch Age of Empires 4
- Go to your Title Screen
- Look in the bottom left corner of the Title Screen, you will notice a connection bar. Click on it
- The Servers and Connectivity menu should come up
- Turn off “Automatically pick regions based on my location”
- Click on the refresh icon on the top-right once
- Now choose any server from the list
Choosing the server with the Lowest Ping is recommended. But at times, the ping doesn’t represent how good the sever is for your connection. You might ping the server with the lowest ping, but you might experience Loss and Choke issues in the game. So, if you are lagging or facing connection problems. I would suggest that you try different servers out.
