Still, in the Sunbreak DLC, this giant crab becomes more deadly and aggressive and can now deal bleeding status damage to the players. You must be extremely careful while dodging his attacks and ensure you come prepared with high-level armor and weaponry. So this article will guide you on how to defeat Shogun Ceanataur quickly in MHR Sunbreak.

How to beat Shogun Ceanataur in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

As mentioned earlier, the Shogun Ceanataur in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is a deadly giant crab that inflicts a lot of damage to you, and you need to be very careful when dodging his attacks.

To beat Shogun Ceanataur, you must first know its weak points. The best weak points of Shogun Ceanataur are his head and his claws. You can use weapons that inflict Fire, blast or Thunder damage as the beast takes in more damage when you attack him with the mentioned elemental weapons.

The elemental weapons will only speed up the process of taking him down and not eliminating him immediately, so he will continuously pour his attacks out even when you shoot at him. So make sure you defend yourself from his attacks by either jumping, rolling, or dodging.

Initially, you might feel that the Ceanataur is an easy enemy to take out, but as time progresses, he becomes more and more aggressive and challenging to fight and defeat. First, start attacking his crabs, and as soon as you break him, the Shogun will topple himself, and you can directly aim for his head. Once you destroy the shell on his head, he will dive deep underground and come back with a new shell on its head. Once you break his second shell, he will be defenseless for the rest of the fight.

You should know his attacks before starting fighting with him. The Shogun Ceanataur uses its special water attacks and the Waterblight effect to deal damage. It would help if you dodged it, as this attack takes away a chunk of your armor. For his second attack, the giant crab spreads out his claws, and when he spreads it out thoroughly, it becomes twice the length of his body. It is tough to avoid this attack; on impact, it takes away a large part of your health.

You must dodge the Shogun’s attacks and cure yourself from the Waterblight effect using the Nulberrys. The crab also has other attacks in its arsenal like the Claw Swipe, Water Beam, Burrow, Claw Slash, and Charge. The Claw Slash attack can inflict bleeding status damage, which takes away your health over time and is very difficult to cure once you get struck by it. So make sure you are extremely careful while fighting against the Shogun Ceanataur and continue attacking him while dodging his attacks. Try using ranged weapons and not getting too close to the crab.

So this was all about how to beat Shogun Ceanataur in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak.
