Season 18 or Season of the Plunder is finally here, and Destiny 2 fans from all over the world are flocking the servers at the moment.
On Steam, the download size of the update is 8 GB. Which is 2 GB more than the Season 17 update. And it makes sense because Season of the Plunder has way more unique content than what Season of the Haunted had at the start of the season.
There is a new Raid, that will unlock in just a few days, some brand-new exotics, a completely new activity, a new artifact, and sitting at the top, is obviously the Arc 3.0 rework.
Honestly, Bungie has done an excellent job with Arc 3.0. After being dead for ages, the Arc Subclass is once again viable. It feels like a breath of fresh air.
Just like the other 3.0 Subclasses, Arc 3.0 also has some awesome buffs, like:
- Amplified
- Blind
- Jolted
You can get full information about these buffs from the Arc Subclass screen, by hovering your mouse pointer over the Arc Aspects. But there is one significant buff, that is not mentioned on the Subclass screen. And that buff is Speed Booster.
Speed Booster is an awesome buff, that takes your sprint and slide speed to the next level. You sprint and slide really fast. Honestly, this is my favorite buff from Arc 3.0, as this will make running through large areas very easy.
Now, the question is how to activate or proc the Speed Booster buff in the Arc Subclass. Keep Reading
How to activate the Speed Booster buff in Arc Subclass
Initially, you might have a hard time figuring out how to proc the Speed Booster, as Bungie has not given any information about it. But it is easier than you think.
To activate Speed Booster, all you have to do is become “Amplified”, and then after sprinting for a few seconds, you will proc the Speed Booster buff.
The buff will show on the left side of your screens, alongside all the other buffs. Your legs will start glowing blue, and if you have the “Wind Impulse” setting enabled, then you will see the same effects that you see while sprinting with a Titan.
Now, to become “Amplified”, all you have to do is defeat multiple targets with an Arc weapon, or eliminate a single target with your Arc abilities. When “Amplified”, your movement speed and weapon handling are greatly increased.
I can only imagine, how well this will pair with a Sword with “Eager Edge”. I cannot wait to see how speed runners utilize this.
