Customization have always been a very important part of games especially AAA titles. Everybody wants to make their in-game character, the guns, the gear look like the way they want. And this is the reason why weapon or character skins have become so popular nowadays. Gamers are ready to pay hefty amount of money to get that sweet sweet skin they desire.
So does Ghost Recon Breakpoint have customization? Yes, Ubisoft is known to include weapon and character customization in most of their AAA titles for the players to explore. Obviously you won’t find skins like Rainbow Six Siege in Breakpoint but if you ask me the level of customization offered in this game gets the job done. So how do you change the skin or color of your weapon? Lets find out.

How to change the skin or color of weapons
Open your Loadout by pressing L or whatever your Loadout key is
Bring your mouse pointer on your weapon
Press G or your Gunsmith key to access the Gunsmith menu
On the right side of your screen you will see two options, Modify and Paint
Now if you want to change the color or skin of your gun as a whole then click on Color Preset and select a color. But if you want different colors on different parts of your weapon then click on the individual part and select their colors separately
How to change the appearance of your character
You can also change the skin or color of your vest, gloves, pants, shoes, etc. Press ESC to access the Menu
Click on the sixth icon on the top and you will be taken to the Customize screen
You will see four options here:
- Appearance – Hair & Facial (Hair), Details & Paint (Facial Details, Facial Paint, Left Arm Tattoo, Right Arm Tattoo)
- Gear – Head Protection, Vests, Hands, Pants, Shoes
- Accessories – Headset, Glasses, Backpack, Top, Facemask, Patches, CQC (Melee weapon/Knife)
To change the skin of a certain element of your characters appearance just click on that option and change the skin
If you want to change the color of the skin just click on the element(Headset, Backpack, etc) to ‘Open List‘
Press the F key to edit color, choose the one you want and equip it
Finally just open your Loadout screen and make sure that the Skin Override option on the bottom right is turned on
