Gears 5 is already well optimized and runs quite smoothly on most medium end graphics cards. But is it possible to make this game run on low end graphics cards as well by tweaking the in-game video or graphics settings? Lets find out.
Gears 5 – Best graphics or video settings
It is always recommended to run a game on a medium end gaming rig if you want to find out the best combination of graphics settings for the game. There is no point in running benchmarks on gaming rigs with high or enthusiast level graphics cards. Because lets be honest, everything will run smoothly on a RTX 2080 ti.
Though the system requirements of Gears 5 are slightly on the higher side, we still went ahead and ran it on a very basic and mediocre gaming PC. Here are the full specifications of our rig:
- CPU : Intel i3 8100
- GPU : Zotac GTX 1050
- RAM : 8GB DDR4 2400mhz
- HDD : 1 TB 7200 rpm
The graphics or display settings we decided to go with :
Go to Options > Video

We managed to run Gears 5 easily at 50-60 fps with the given settings. The Frame Rate did drop to 48 at one or two instances but that was due to high number of particles flying around on the screen.

That’s all folks!
