Forspoken download size – If you have tried out the Forspoken Demo, you must know that it is a very large game with tons of things to do and see. And if you preordered the game without noticing the storage requirements or how much space you would need to fit in this game, then this article is a must-read.
Forspoken Download Size on PS5
For the last couple of years, we have seen a massive spike in the Game File Sizes, and you can no longer accommodate those files on smaller SSDs or HDDs, and that trend flows through Forspoken as well. The size of the Forspoken Game on the PlayStation 5 is around 87 GB, and if you compare similar games like the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which had a similar map size, requires around 144 GB.
But Ubisoft, with recent updates, has patched it down to 77 GB, so it’s more or less the same thing, so the 87GB requirement isn’t much. They are asking for a graphically more intensive and better-looking game.
Forspoken Download Size on PC
The size of the Forspoken for PC is around a whopping 150 GB. It is a different story than the PlayStation 5, and the PC file size is almost double what the PS5 requires. But we are not sure why the PC version requires more storage than the console edition. We think the PlayStation 5 has some compression features, which compress the files to make them smaller so that you can fit in more games inside a smaller SSD. Since all PlayStation 5 are the same, we think Sony uses their Smart Data Compression Technologies to save and run the game while requiring less storage.
We don’t have any information about the game file sizes on the Xbox Consoles, but we will update this article as soon as we have more information about the game porting on that console. But rest assured, it will be around the same size as the PlayStation console and won’t require 100 GB+ Storage space. But this is just speculation, and we will share more news soon.
If you are on the PC and running a low disk space, then try removing games and unused files from your desktop to make room for them. The game will be available for Steam Deck soon.
Forspoken is an Open World game set in a fantasy world at Athia developed by Luminous Productions. This is a highly anticipated title from Square Enix released on the 24th of January 2023 for both Playstation 5 and PC.
