WWE 2K22 is finally out as the game took a big leap forward as compared to its prequel, WWE 2K20. The last installment failed to achieve the player’s expectation and received a lot of negative reviews and resulting in the cancellation of the WWE 2K21 to further allow the team to focus more on the WWE 2K22 instead.
This year, with the new 2K22, it seems that the extra development for the game has been paid off. The game now has so much to offer rather than just a roster update that 2K used to do every year. This year they bought in the new game modes, simpler control scheme and much better visuals as compared to any other WWE game released so far. We are having a lot of fun playing it until we run into some issues which are pretty common in newly launched games nowadays.
There are certain complaints regarding the screen tearing issues which I experienced while playing the game. And since this game doesn’t have the V-sync option, so it is a bit confusing to understand how to fix the screen tearing issue. But oddly there is a V-Sync line in the Config file which is set to On by default. But it is not the case, because if it was on, then we wouldn’t have faced any screen tearing issues at all.
So in this article, we will guide you on how to fix the screen tearing issues in WWE 2K22. The only thing that you will be needing here is either an Nvidia Graphics Card or an AMD Graphics along with all the proper supported software for each of those GPUs that you need to download (or downloaded) from the brand’s website and install it properly.
How to fix screen tearing issue in WWE 2K22 – Nvidia Graphics Cards
- Launch the game first and then quit and return to the desktop
- Open the Nvidia Control panel by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting it from the drop-down menu
- When the Nvidia Control Panel Window opens, select the Manage 3D Settings under the 3D Settings tab
- Select the program settings tab that is located next to the Global settings tab.
- Click on ‘Add’ and the list will pop up with programs you have used recently
- Select the WWE 2K22 exe and add that selected program
- A list of options will appear, and you can scroll down to the bottom, and you will see the ‘Vertical Sync’ option
- Click the option which is just next to the Vertical setting and set it to on. It will be set to off by default
- After you are done, click apply
- Now you can close the Nvidia control panel and restart the game. These steps will help you get rid of the annoying screen tearing issues in WWE 2K22
How to fix screen tearing issue in WWE 2K22 – AMD Graphics Cards
- Launch the game first and then quit and return to the desktop
- Open the Radeon App software on your desktop and click on the Gaming Tab
- Look for the game “WWE 2K22”
- Select and find out the box which says “Wait for Vertical Refresh” and click it
- Select the Always On option
- Close the windows and restart the game. These steps will help you get rid of the annoying screen tearing issues in WWE 2K22
