WWE 2K22 is finally out, and we are having a great time playing with it. This year, with the new 2K22, it seems that the extra development time taken for the game has finally been paid off.

The game now has so much to offer rather than just a basic roster update that 2K used to do in their every installment. This year they bought in newer game modes, a simpler control scheme and improved visuals as compared to any other WWE game released so far. Although we did face some screen tearing issues, we fixed them here.

There are certain complaints regarding the Online not working in WWE 2K22. And this is not the first time that we have seen such a thing happening. Even the last few WWE games had the same issues at the launch date and continued to stay that way for quite a few hours post-launch. Certain players have reported that they are certain server errors or online features not working. This is a usual issue with all the WWE games, so this article will guide you on how to fix the online not working in WWE 2K22.

How to fix Lag or Online not working in WWE 2K22

These are the following things that you can do to fix online not working in WWE 2K22.

Check the 2K Server Status

The first and foremost thing that you should do if you are not being able to access the online features is to check whether the WWE 2K22 Servers are up and running or not. Sometimes due to routine/sudden maintenance, the servers might go down. If not, you can contact the WWE 2K22 Support page to create a ticket. You can also follow the 2K Support Twitter page for server related updates. You can also check the server status on your consoles (i.e. Xbox or PlayStation).

Check your internet connection

There are different ways to check if the WWE 2K22 is getting connected to the internet or not.

1. Windows 10 (PC):
   Go to the Start Menu
   Select Settings and go to Network and Internet
   Check your Internet Status
2. PlayStation:
   Open the settings from the home screen itself
   Select the network option
   Choose the Test Internet settings and recheck after it finishes
3. Xbox:
   Press the Xbox button to open the guide menu
   Select the profile and the system
   Go to the General Settings option and open Network Settings
   Pick the connection you want to test and run it.

Check your Antivirus or Firewall

To check whether the Antivirus or Firewall is blocking you from accessing the online features of the game.

1. Open Start Menu and open Windows Defender Firewall
2. Choose the “Allow an app”
3. Find the WWE 2K22 and right check both the small boxes and click on OK
4. You can also select the WWE2K22_x64.exe from the WWE 2K22 installation directory.

Try changing your DNS address

You can try using more common DNS servers like Cloudflare’s [1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1] or Google’s [8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4].

Try Restarting your Router or Modem

You can try turning off the Router or the modem for around 30-40 seconds and restart it. Recheck if the problem persists.

Try Restarting the Game or the Steam client

You can try closing the Steam app on your PC fully by ending the Task in the Task Manager. And try restarting the Steam app again. Most of my game-related issues are solved by restarting the Steam app.

Try Restarting your PC or Console

If nothing above works, try restarting the PC or Console.

Verify the Game Files

You can also try verifying the game files via Steam

1. Right-click on WWE 2K22 in the Steam library and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
2. Select the Local Files tab and click on Verify integrity.
3. It takes a few minutes to scan the whole game.
4. Post-scan, you can restart your system clear.

Clear the Console Cache

If you are on a Console, you can try clearing the Cache by:

• First, turn off the console completely
• Unplug the power cord and don’t power it back on for the next 5-10 minutes
• Plug it back and restart your console

Try switching to a different connection

You can also try switching to a different Connection or ISP. Ask your friends or relatives if they are having issues playing the game on the same ISP that you have. Or you can also try connecting the game using your mobile’s hotspot and check whether you can access the game’s online features or not.
