Fix Multiversus Connection Lost issue

Multiversus Connection Lost – A lot of PC players are constantly encountering disconnections in Multiversus. So we decided to chalk down a basic network troubleshooting guide.

The Early Access Open Beta of Multiversus is finally available for the major gaming platforms. The game is a free-to-play fighting game featuring a ton of characters from Warner Bros., DC Comics, Cartoon Network, etc. It has been developed by Player First Games and the publishing rights are being held by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

MultiVersus is a 2v2 platform fighter, in which players battle on different levels and attempt to knock their opponents outside the boundaries of the arena, with characters being knocked further the more damage they take. If you are a fan of Super Mario Bros. Brawl, you should definitely give this one a try.

Anyway, jumping back to the main topic. We all know that MultiVersus is an always-online title. And one of the biggest problems with always-online games is the connection issues that follow. Disconnections, desync, high server latency, etc. These all come with the package. Unfortunately, MultiVersus is no different.

A lot of users are not able to play the game, even after being a “Founder”, because they are being stopped by the “Connection Lost” issue before they can even get to the main menu.

You will see plenty of posts like this on the Steam Discussions page of Multiversus:

Connection Lost
Anyone else have this problem? Tried different networks. Didn’t work. Attempting this for the last 15 minutes. Cant get past the first screen into the lobby.
Multiversus Connection Lost issue

So what is the problem here? Well, you see, Multiversus just launched and is still in Early Access. This means the number of servers is nowhere near that of the big games.

If you are getting the Connection Lost issue on the main title screen and can’t even get into the main menu, it is because the game is most probably region locked and unavailable in your region.

Yes, you will find a lot of articles regarding this where the writer has asked people to check their connection, restart their router, forward ports, etc. But those methods are all a waste of time. They won’t do anything.

How to fix Multiversus Connection Lost issue

To be honest, there is only one, and only one way, to fix the Connection Lost issue in Multiversus (Unless you actually have a bad internet connection), and that is by using a VPN and setting your location to the US.

How do I know this you ask? I am personally facing this issue, at the moment. And being an owner of a troubleshooting website, I have not left a single table unturned. I have tried everything. But nothing else worked.

Finally, I decided to give my VPN a try. I set my location to US-Chicago and Voilà! I managed to get it successfully. Now, I use a paid VPN, and I am not going to reveal the name, as people might think I might have gotten paid to feature them on my website. But, you can use any VPN. Even the free ones that don’t have data limits.

If you are still not sure what to use, you can ask me in the comment section below, and I will answer there. But, overall this is the only solution.

If you think this guide has helped you then let us know in the comment section below. And for more Multiversus guides, keep an eye on Frondtech. We will be covering every single technical issue of the game. Good luck!

That’s all folks!
