Diablo 4 No Sound or Audio Bug – Diablo 4 is an action-adventure RPG Game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. This is Diablo’s fourth main installment in the game and features a total of 5 character classes for you to play with.
A lot of the players have been complaining about the no sound and audio issues since Diablo 4 got released. We are active on forums and see queries popping up regarding the audio issues. One of our Senior Editors faced a similar issue, and we tried the following troubleshooting steps, and the second one seemed to work for him.
Since a lot of us are struggling with the same issue, this article will guide you on how to fix no sound or audio bug issues in Diablo 4.
How to fix Diablo 4 No Sound or Audio Bug
Here are some troubleshooting tips to help fix Diablo 4 No Sound or Audio Bug.
Switch to Wired Headphones
You might have issues with Wireless Headphones when playing Diablo 4. Try switching to a Wired 3.5mm Headphone and try rerunning the game. I had a similar issue using my Coolermaster MH670 Wireless Gaming Headphones. I disconnected it and plugged in my old Logitech Wired Gaming Headphones, and my Audio issues disappeared. Blizzard already noticed it and will be fixing it in their upcoming patches.
We also had reports from people saying they are having issues with USB Powered headphones. So making use of Wired Headphones is your place to go to avoid that issue.
Proper Audio Output

Although it rarely happens, a lot of the time, the primary output switches automatically when you plug in a new audio device, for example, your headphones in this case. On such occasions, you might not be able to get the sound and to fix this; you can try out the following steps.
- Right, Click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen (on the system tray).
- That will open up the Sound Settings.
- Select the proper output device from under the Sound Tab you wish to use.
- Click Ok and hit Exit.
- Restart Diablo 4, and you should have the audio output now.
Alter the Playback Device Format
A lot of the time, you don’t have the game audio routed through the Native Windows Settings, and because of that, you can face no sound issues in Diablo 4. You can avoid this issue by following these quick steps.
- Right-click on the Speaker icon on the System Tray.
- Click Playback Device from Sounds.
- Right-Click on the Properties
- Go to the Advanced Tab option.
- Change the format from 48000Hz 16bit (DVD Quality) to 96000Hz 24Bit as the output.
- Click on Ok and Re-run the game again.
Disable Windows Sonic or Spatial Audio
Windows Sonic/Spatial Sound is buggy on Windows currently, so it’s better to avoid it.
Enable the Audio Enhancements
You can also enable all the audio enhancements to fix no sound and audio issues because sometimes disabling them leads to loss of sound and game audio. Follow these methods to enable Audio enhancements quickly.
- Get to the Sound Settings and then click on the Playback Tab.
- Right-click on the Playback Devices.
- Click on the Enhancements after you have selected Properties.
Update your Audio Drivers
If nothing seems to work for you, then updating drivers might help. But keep in mind that a lot of websites will tell you to do that, but it is only recommended if you face similar issues on all the games and apps. If it’s on Diablo 4 only, then it’s an issue with the game itself.
However, if you still wish to go ahead and update your drivers, head over to your Motherboard manufacturer’s official website and download the latest audio drivers. But remember, do not download any of these Core drivers from any 3rd party random or untrusted websites, as they might contain viruses, malware, or spyware.
So this was all about how to fix Diablo 4 with No Sound or Audio Bug.
After trying all these methods, if Diablo 4 is still stuttering, freezing, or lagging for you, you can contact Blizzard Support and send them a ticket. I will be on my toes for the next few days, looking for guaranteed fixes. And as soon as I find something, I will immediately update this article. If you want, you can bookmark this page.
