ABOUT THE GAME
Far Cry New Dawn is a first-person shooter by Ubisoft. As we all know there are six titles under the Far Cry series already, New Dawn is basically a sequel to the last version of Far Cry which is Far Cry 5.
Far Cry New Dawn has followed the footsteps of it’s predecessors and is an action-adventure game this time as well. Far Cry New Dawn is obviously set in a massive open world environment which the player can explore freely just like the previous titles. The world of Far Cry New Dawn is nothing but a re-imagined model of the world from Far Cry 5. This is more of a DLC rather than a standalone title.
Players will be able to customize the gender and race of their character. Players would also notice that a lot of features have been implemented in this title from Far Cry 5, for example, The Guns for Hire and the Fangs for Hire systems, returning characters from Far Cry 5 etc. There are several new weapons that have been introduced in the game which includes a “Saw Launcher” that fires the blades of circular saws. As usual players unlock new weapons, attachments and vehicles as they progress through the missions.
Apart from having the usual ‘Far Cry’ style missions like liberating outposts and encampments, there is a new mode this time known as “Expeditions”. Expeditions allows players to travel to different locations in the United States so that they can farm more resources and packages. Though these regions are not part of the main region or map and are quite smaller in sizes. Players can complete Expedition missions with other players in more complex environments.
There is no mystery regarding the fact that Far Cry titles have always been on the heavier side. And that completely makes sense considering how rich the textures get every time with a new release. Players would need some good hardware in order to run Far Cry New Dawn lag free. But that doesn’t mean players with mediocre or entry-level systems won’t be able to run this title at all. Sure it would be a bit laggy with some fps drops here and there, it can be managed very easily. Here is how you can fix any sort of lag, FPS drops, bugs and stuttering in Far Cry New Dawn:
