Far Cry 6 Failed to synchronize achievements error – How to fix
One of the biggest AAA titles of 2021, Far Cry 6 has finally available across all major platforms. The game has already got some good reviews, and is getting a lot of praises from the community for its gameplay and visuals. And Far Cry fans are rushing to play the game at the moment.
But as things with AAA titles go nowadays, Far Cry 6 has a lot of bugs and errors. And the Ubisoft forums are slowly getting filled with posts regarding these bugs.
The bug I am talking about here is actually an Ubisoft Connect bug, that is tied to Far Cry 6. The funny thing, I just covered an Ubisoft Connect bug in my last article. And here I am, doing another one. This bug is giving a ‘Failed to synchronize achievements’ error message, whenever users are closing Far Cry 6, or clicking the Play button. I am not surprised because I myself have encountered this bug.
The worst part is, this bug doesn’t allow you to play the game, until it is gone. Fortunately, there is a fix for this error
How to fix
I encountered this bug six times before I started writing this article. But I did manage to fix it. Here is what you need to do:
- As soon as you see the error message, Click on ‘Skip’ instead of selecting ‘Try again’
- Open Ubisoft Connect
- Now click on the Icon with three lines on top-left
- Select ‘Go offline’
- The launcher should restart in offline mode
- You won’t be able to play Far Cry 6 in offline mode, though
- Now click on the Icon with three lines again
- Click on ‘Go online’
And that is all you need to do. Ubisoft Connect has the tendency of getting disconnected from the internet randomly. By going offline and then online, you are basically forcing the launcher to reconnect.
