Evil Genius 2 no sound or audio bug fix – Evil Genius 2 finally got released on the PC platform today, and it has been doing pretty well so far. The game has managed to get a good amount of positive reviews and has received a great response from the community.
But things are not going so well for everyone who bought Evil Genius 2 on PC. A lot of players have started complaining about technical issues, various bugs and errors. There are posts all over the Steam Discussions page of Evil Genius 2.
But there is one bug that is causing huge frustration in the community at the moment. And that is the No sound or no audio bug. Are you experiencing the no sound bug as well, while playing the PC version of Evil Genius 2? Let’s see if there is a fix for it not.

What is the no sound/audio bug in Evil Genius 2
It is a bug that a lot of players are currently experiencing. The bug is causing the game to go completely mute.
This seems to be a common bug that a lot of players are experiencing at the moment as there are a lot of posts regarding this on Steam. There is no sound on the menus, no voices and no music.
How to fix this audio bug
So I went through a lot of posts on the Steam Discussions page of Evil Genius 2 regarding this bug. And the reason behind why this bug is taking place is quite funny.
It looks like the majority of the people who are getting this bug, are the ones who are using USB headphones. So if you are using a pair of USB headphones, then most probably the bug is being caused by that. I would suggest that you try playing a game with any pair of headphones that has a 3.5mm headphone jack. I am sure they will work just fine. If they don’t then you can try a fix suggested by a Steam user:
Right click the speaker in your system tray (lower right), Open Sound Settings, under the Sound Tab, make sure your Output Device is the device you wish to hear the sound on, (mine was set to my VR headset for example, which I won’t be playing this game on)
And if that doesn’t work, then I would suggest that you update your drivers and keep on switching between different audio outputs and some point along the way it would start working.
I am pretty sure that this is just a mistake and this bug would probably get fixed pretty soon.
