Donphan weakness scarlet violet – Released last year, on the 18th of November, this Nintendo Switch exclusive game has a lot of returning pokemons in the 9th Generation. Out of the lot, we have the elephant Pokemon, Donphan.
You might have noticed a lot of Phanpys just wandering the areas in the desert and the dry/arid areas of the Paldea region. So, you must have eventually even seen its evolutions. What you need to know is that this Pokemon’s lineage is now considerably more important with regards to the story.
So, here is all that you need to know about the weaknesses of Donphan and how you can counter them in the best way in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Donphan Weakness in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Donphan is a ground-type Pokemon and is therefore, naturally weak to these other types, namely – Water, Grass, and Ice.
Moreover, there is more to it than just the type of the Pokemon to use for attack, we recommend that you use the Sp Attacks to damage it even further.
It can be said that this Pokemon has a really good normal Defense stat, and therefore it can take a lot of hits. However, in the case of Special attacks, this Pokemon loses its ground.
How to beat the Donphan in Path of Legends
Although, to get to the main part, the reason that you are here reading this article. Donphan’s weaknesses when you are playing the storyline of the Path of Legends.
If it is Pokemon Scarlet that you’re playing, you will be going up against Great Tusk, which is a Ground/Fighting type pokemon. This variant of Donpahn has the following weaknesses – Water, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy.
If it is Pokemon Violet that you’re playing, then you will be going up against the Ground/Steel type Iron Treads. This variant of Donphan has the following weaknesses – Fire, Water, Fight, and Ground.
Both are similar to Donphan in a way, as their stat distributions are similar and mostly the same. Great Tusk and Iron Treads, are both excellent at Physical Defense, but their Sp Defense lacks. Also, they are a little slow, so you have that as an advantage to make the first move when you take on them in the wild.
Note that you cannot get or catch this Titan Pokemon while you are doing this quest. However you can catch its normal-sized counterparts during your face offs.
