Destiny 2 – How to get Crimson Catalyst

Crimson Catalyst – Description

Crimson has been in Destiny 2 for a while now but has always been an underperformer. The stats on the Hand Cannon looked very good on paper but when it came to performance the weapon was not even close to other Hand Cannons like Ace of Spades or the Thorn.

In the Season of Undying or the Shadowkeep update, the Crimson got a huge buff. Previously the Crimson used to deal 13.76 damage on the body and 24.75 on the head. Now it deals 19 on the body and 30.5 on the head. And right now we have to say that the weapon performs the way it should have from the very beginning.

The range on this Hand Cannon is already amazing and the the Crimson Catalyst when unlocked makes it even better by adding extra range which is always a good thing to have. And you also generate orbs upon multiple eliminations.

How to unlock the Crimson Catalyst?

Just eliminate enemies with precision final blows with the weapon after equipping the catalyst. You can eliminate other guardians in Crucible or just get precision final blows on normal enemies.

Where to find the Ace Of Spades Catalyst?

People who have managed to get the catalyst so far are claiming to have gotten it as a random drop from normal Strikes, normal Crucible matches and the Nightfall: The Ordeal. It is not a surprise as a lot of weapon catalysts drop in Strikes. So go ahead and start farming.
