Destiny 2 – How to get Black Talon Catalyst

Whenever a major update drops in Destiny 2, we get to see some new catalysts arrive for specific Exotic weapons. Season 9 is no different. Season of Dawn has actually brought two Exotic weapons catalyst. First, is the Lord of Wolves Catalyst and the second one is the Black Talon Catalyst.

Yes, I am talking about the Exotic Sword Black Talon. Looks like we now have a catalyst for the weapon. Lets see what the catalyst does and how to get it.

Black Talon Catalyst – Description

We couldn’t deny the fact that the Black Talon is undoubtedly one of the best swords in Destiny 2. Due its ability to shoot projectiles, makes the sword effective in close range as well as in long range encounters. The problem with Swords in Destiny 2 is that their use is very situational. Every sword goes to out Power or Heavy slot. And we mainly use Power weapons to take down bosses and other powerful enemies.

Now most of the time when you go near the bosses to damage them with your sword, you get knocked to a distance due to the extremely powerful ground slams that most of the bosses in Destiny 2 can perform. Thankfully, the Black Talon doesn’t suffer with the same problem. So you should definitely get your hands on the catalyst.

Now the catalyst obviously upgrades the Black Talon to a Masterwork which makes it generate Orbs on multikills. And it also gains a tracker.

The additional capabilities that the catalyst grants is, Shots blocked immediately after guarding increase the damage of Crow’s Wings for a very short duration.

How to get Black Talon Catalyst

People who have managed to get the catalyst so far are claiming to have gotten it as a random drop from Gambit matches, playlist Strikes, normal Crucible matches and the Nightfall: The Ordeal. It is not a surprise as a lot of weapon catalysts drop from these activities.
