Destiny 2 – How to get Apostate

Apostate – Weapon Description

Apostate is a Sniper Rifle of Purple or Legendary rarity in Destiny 2. This weapon was added in the Season of the Undying in Destiny 2. This is the third Rapid-Fire Frame Sniper that has been added to the game so far. The first two being Twilight Oath and Omniscient Eye. This one goes to your Energy slot and deals Arc damage.

Apostate in a 140 RPM Sniper Rifle which means it is a Rapid-Fire Frame. Rapid-Fire Frame Sniper Rifles are in a very good position in Destiny 2 at the moment. These are becoming more and popular as more and more are hearing about them. If you ask me, this Sniper Rifle is the best that I have got right now and a lot of that has to do with the type of Scope this weapon offers.

Apostate – Curated Roll

The Curated Roll Apostate comes with the following perks:

  • Fluted Barrel
  • Extended Mag/Accurized Rounds
  • Shield Disorient
  • Rapid Hit
  • Masterwork – Range

Apostate – God Roll

Now the idea of a God Roll can be different for different people. If you ask me then a God Roll Apostate should have:

  • Small Bore/Polygonal Rifling
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Moving Target
  • Snapshot Sights
  • Masterwork – Range

Where to find or farm for the Apostate

You can get the Apostate from the following activities:

Altars of Sorrow – Reach Tier 5 or Tier V in the Altars of Sorrow event on moon and then the final chest has the chance to drop the Apostate. Now the Altars of Sorrow rewards rotate everyday so you need to make sure that you are farming for the Apostate on the correct day. Here is a Reddit post that included the daily rotation schedule.

Pit of Heresy – Just go and do the new Pit of Heresy Dungeon and you will have a chance to get the Apostate after completion of each encounter.
