What is a Candy in Destiny 2?
A Candy is nothing but an item or resource in Destiny 2. You can also take these Candies as a type of in-game event currency that are used to purchase various items from Eva Levante during the Destiny 2 Halloween Event know as the Festival of the Lost. For example – The new Festival of the Lost Event Weapon, which is the Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle, can be purchased with Candy. But yes, you require a lot of them to buy anything.
Now the problem is you need a lot of Candies, especially if you are looking to unlock the Curated Version of the Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle. You need to collect 1000 ‘Candy’ in order to buy that from Eva. And the game provides no information about where to farm for them.

This article was written 3 years ago. For the Festival of the Lost Event 2022, the best way to farm Candy is by doing Master Nightfalls. Most of the Nightfalls this season have Arc burn and can be taken care of easily with the Storm Grenade Build. I won’t recommend GM NFs because not everyone has reached 1595, yet. Here are the number of Candies I got from 2 hours of farming:
Best location to farm Candy easily
After spending a couple of hours in the game, I realized that the best place to farm Candies is the Haunted Forest. No other source drops as many Candies as the enemies, bosses and chests in the Haunted Forest as of now.
I did a total of three runs of the Haunted Forest. I had one friend in my fireteam for this activity and the other one was a random that joined via matchmaking. In the first two runs we cleared 6 branches and in our third run we cleared 7 branches. After we were done with the session, I ended up with 474 Candy in my inventory and my friend ended up with 491. So you can say that you can farm 500 Candy within a time span of 50 minutes.
Since we had a random in our team, I wouldn’t say that our runs were perfectly efficient, as we died a lot of times. And in many instances, we struggled to eliminate the bosses due to a lack of Heavy ammo and Supers. If you can go to the Haunted Forest with a full squad who can clear branches faster, then I am pretty sure you can get even more Candies per run.
My and my friend were using the Masquerader’s Hood with the Vampiric Touch mod. We both had the Recluse, and we were both using the 21% Delirium on our Heavy slot. The strategy we were following was, two people will work on clearing an area while the third guardian will go and open the door to the next area and start eliminating the enemies there. It worked out pretty well.
We did the exact same thing in all three runs and the result was quite impressive. I know, that someone will eventually come up with a way that allows you to get 1 million Candies in 1 minute. But for people who are looking for a place to start, Haunted Forest is the way to go.
