Specifications of our Test Rig

We recommend running the Dead Island 2 game on medium to high settings, as it will help you balance the performance and the visual effects. We have been benchmarking Games for years now. With experience, we have learned that such highly visually attractive games like these run flawlessly on top-end hardware no matter what (except for some like the Last of Us PC, of course), and thus benchmarking on them is entirely useless. That is why we should always aim to test these AAA games on mid-tier hardware, i.e., the hardware that people are gaming on, as all the games will run perfectly fine on the top tier Gaming Systems.

We tested out the Dead Island 2 on the following Specifications.

Dead Island 2 Performance Analysis

Here are the performance numbers we got from running the benchmark tests on Dead Island 2.

Minimum FPS(1% Low) Average FPS Maximum FPS
31 FPS 102 FPS 573 FPS

The Dead Island 2 is a very resource-hungry, graphically intensive game, and that being said, it will run well once you lower the settings and run with the settings we showed you. Unlike other zombie games, we somehow found the game to be a little slow, but it is playable if you have an older system. It does stutter a bit when the settings are cranked up higher. Check out this video, you will get the idea about the wide variation that takes place with the in-game FPS:

It is no surprise that all the games nowadays have issues during the launch date and get fixed as time progresses, but having issues for those playing the game for the first time might ruin the experience for them.

When writing this article, Nvidia has already released their latest Game Ready Driver optimized for Dead Island 2. AMD’s latest Driver update features all the optimizations needed for the latest games, and the game can be best experienced when you are playing on the updated Drivers. However, we do not recommend running Dead Island 2 on lower-end GPUs like the GT1030, GTX 750Ti, GTX 1050Ti or even the GTX 1650 because this game needs at least 6GB Graphics Card to run.

So this was all about the Best Graphics Settings for Dead Island 2 that you can use to fix lag, stuttering, and FPS Issues.
