Weapons are one of the most important aspects of Dauntless. If you want to survive longer in a fight then you need to have all sorts of weapons. Dauntless offers you a decent variety of weapons to choose from. But most of them are melee weapons like swords, scythes, axes, etc. So what about those players who are not into close-quarter battles? Dauntless allows you to use guns as well but here they are called Ostian Repeaters instead of just guns.
Crafting guns in slightly different from normal weapon crafting. You cannot craft your guns and swords from the same place as there is a separate place for crafting Ostian Repeaters. Here is how to craft a gun in Dauntless:
How to craft a gun or Ostian repeaters in Dauntless
- As soon as you land in Ramsgate, go South-East
- Follow the stairs and go all the way up
- As soon as you reach the top look to your left. You will see a guy called Janek Zai standing at a distance. He is the gunsmith or the gun vendor
- Interact with him by holding E or your interact button
- Select Repeater Crafting
- You need to craft the barrel, grip and chamber separately
[Note: You can earn different weapon parts by completing various quests from Janek Zai and defeating behemoths in Dauntless]
- If you have all the necessary resources then just select Create on all the three weapon parts
- Once you are done creating all the parts, you gun or Ostian Repeaters are ready. Just go to your loadout and equip it
