This guide will show you how to rebind your movement contols from WASD to Arrow Keys.
How to change from WASD to Arrow Keys
Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here and the launch has been extremely big so far. Everyone is enjoying the game right now and the hype charts are way off the roof. There is no doubt that Cyberpunk is a really awesome game. But there are some issues that CD PROJEKT RED still needs to fix. Yes they are not game breaking, but with games like these, it is all about the experience.
There are a ton posts popping up on the forums where players are complaining that they are not being able to bind their movement keys from WASD to the Arrow Keys or Up Down Left Right. Apparently, Cyberpunk doesn’t let you do that for some reason. Now the main question is, can you use the Arrow Keys for movement?
How to use Arrow Keys
Yes you can, it is just that you have do some minor tweaks to the configuration or the config file of the game. Here is how to do it.
Go to this location : C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\
If the AppData folder is hidden for you, here is how to make it visible:
- Open any folder on your PC. It can be a new folder or an existing folder.
- Click on the View option at the top of the folder window
- There you will find a setting called “Hidden items”
- Check the box beside it
Now you can go back to C:\Users\Your username. And there you will find the AppData folder.
Inside the Cyberpunk 2077 folder, you should find a .json file called UserSettings.json. This is the settings config file. And you need to edit this.
Right click on UserSettings.json and open the file with Notepad. Once you have successfully opened it, click on Edit on top and select Find. In the search box type SettingsLocomotion and click on Find Next. You should arrive on something like this:
- Change “value”: “IK_W” to “value”: “IK_Up”
- Change “value”: “IK_S” to “value”: “IK_Down”
- Change “value”: “IK_A” to “value”: “IK_Left”
- Change “value”: “IK_D” to “value”: “IK_Right”
For setting vehicle movement to arrow keys, you have to click on Edit on top and select Find. In the search box type SettingsVehicle and click on Find Next. And change the values exactly like the way you did for movement.

There was no SettingsVehicle setting
