Cyberpunk 2077 – Audio Issue – Sound is Crackling – How to fix

This guide will show you how to fix the audio/sound crackling issue in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to fix the Sound or Audio Crackling issue in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out across all the platforms. And so far the game is doing extremely well. There is no doubt that it is one of the best RPG titles of this decade. But that doesn’t take away the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 still has some errors and bugs that CD PROJEKT RED needs to fix. The audio breaking or crackling issue is one of them.

A lot of PC users are experiencing this bug or error. Here are the things you can do to fix it.

How to fix

Now I have personally experienced this issue and I am telling exactly what I did to fix this error:

  1. Close Cyberpunk if you have it running
  2. Type “Sound” on the Windows Search Bar
  3. Sound Settings should come up, click on it
  4. Select your Output Device
  5. Click on Device Properties below it
  6. There, you will find another option call Spatial Sound
  7. Turn it off
  8. Launch Cyberpunk again and see if the issue is fixed or not
  9. If it isn’t then just restart your PC once

But there is problem. Just because the fix given above worked for me, doesn’t mean that it will work for everyone. So terminate any sort of application that is affecting your sound. I actually went through a lot of posts regarding this on the Steam discussions page of Cyberpunk 2077. And most of the people who were complaining about this had some third-party software running in the background and enhancing the audio.

You can also check out the official Cyberpunk 2077 Forums. You will get a good idea about the situation.
