Elden Ring is a dark-fantasy based RPG (Role-Playing game) from the creators of Pac-Man and other reputed AAA-Based titles. The game, preceding its launch, quickly shot up many “Most-Awaited” lists upon reveal at E3 of 2019. This was mainly because of the “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin’s involvement. This was something that was criticized by his fans, as they mentioned it – “Instead of finishing “The Winds of Winter” and “A dream of Spring”, Martin went off to work on video games for a bit. To put it straightforward – Elden Ring is one of the best games of all time.
Now, there is no doubt that Elden Ring has a ton of weapons. The varieties and options that players get in this game, is just insane. There is something for every play style. In this article, I will be talking about the Crepus’s Black Key Crossbow and how to get it.
The Attributes required to use the Crepus’s Black-Key Crossbow are:
- Strength: 14
- Dexterity: 16
I found the weapon to be quite decent. It has the longest range of any crossbow in the game. The Kick weapon art is included with this crossbow. You can kick an enemy and breach their guard using this talent. Unfortunately, because this is a unique crossbow, the weapon art cannot be modified. Fortunately, the damage compensates for this.
Crepus’s Black-Key Crossbow Location in Elden Ring
The Crepus’s Black-Key Crossbow can be found at the Roundtable Hold. It isn’t very hard to obtain this crossbow. However, you do need to complete a small portion of the campaign before you could gain access to the Roundtable Hold which could be done quickly if done the right way.
You gain access to the roundtable as soon as you’re done with Limgrave. This implies all you have to do to get the invitation to Roundtable Hold is sprint north to Liurnia or east to Caelid. This location is also accessible after defeating Margit in Stormveil. Rest at a Site of Grace once this happens, and you’ll still be invited to Roundtable Hold.
On reaching the Roundtable Hold, in order to acquire the crossbow, you are supposed to make your way to the Hewg. Go downstairs, past the blacksmith, and make a reverse turn to find a fog wall with the statue.
You will need a “Stonesword” key to open the same which you get access to quite early in the game on the “Bridge of Sacrifice.” One other option is to start the game with a “Stonesword” key. After you enter the room, you will the chest sitting inside.
