Charcadet Location and How to Evolve it into Ceruledge or Armarouge in Scarlet and Violet

Among the many fire-type pokemon there are in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Charcadet has been a player-favorite by far.

Charcadet is a tiny Pokemon that can evolve into either Ceruledge or Armarouge, which would, after evolving, gain attributes such as height, weight, and power.

What pokemon you’d be able to evolve Charcadet into would depend on what game you’re playing. It’d depend on if you’re playing Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet.

In this article by Frondtech, we’ll guide you through where you can find Charcadet and how you could evolve it into either Ceruledge or Armarouge depending on what game you’re playing, here it is:

Capturing Charcadet isn’t really tough as it spawns in around a bunch of different places on the realm of Paldea, here’s where you should be looking to come across one:

  • The Asado Desert
  • East Province Areas 1,2 and 3.
  • South Province Areas: 3,4 and 5.
  • West Province Areas: 1,2 and 3.
  • Tagtree Thicket.

With that being said, here is a guaranteed location of Charcadet:

I found a Charcadet chilling there both during my first and second playthrough of Pokemon Violet.

Charcadet is quite a common spawn at some locations, so coming across one won’t be as tricky as some other pokemon. Just roam in the areas we’ve mentioned up above, and you’ll find one in no time.

How to Evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge or Armarouge in Scarlet and Violet

As we mentioned earlier, the evolution would depend on what game you’re playing. For Pokemon Scarlet players, it’s Armarouge which is a Fire/Psychic type-pokemon.

On the other hand, for Pokemon Violet players, it’s Ceruledge which is a Fire/Ghost type pokemon.

The evolution of Charcadet is different from other pokemon. You won’t be able to evolve it by just leveling up. You’ll need to find a specific item, either Auspicious or Malicious armor.

You’ll have to provide the armor to Charcadet for it to evolve into either Ceruledge or Amarouge, depending on what game you’re playing.

The next question that arises is where you could find Auspicious/Malicious armor. Here’s how you can get the same:

You’ll need to get one of the two armors, meaning, one would suffice. For both the games, the players need to travel to a location called Zapapico, a town in Paldea. There’ll be two Pokemon Centers that you could travel to in the town itself. Make sure that you choose the one towards the east. Fast travel to the location and head west into the town. Eventually, you’ll come across an NPC near a small water fountain. The NPC would display “Fancy a Trade”?

Now, purchasing the armor from the NPC will depend on what game you’re playing once again. For Pokemon Scarlet Players, they’ll need to acquire 10x Bronzor Fragments, and for Pokemon Violet Players, they’ll need to get their hands on 10x Sinistea Chips. So, go and defeat 10 Bronzor or 10 Sinistea, depending on which game you have.

For Bronzor, I like to visit Asado Desert, and for Sinistea, I like to go to Alfornada, which is located near South Province (Area Six) and roam the area around the Pokemon Center.

By means of the same, once you’ve purchased the armor, you’ll need to head to the other items section of the bag and select the armor item. There, select “Use this item” and choose Charcadet.

That’s all there is to know about how you could locate and Evolve Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
