The Tankman’s Shield is a Sniper Rifle of Legendary or Orange rarity in Borderlands 3. The weapon dropped in Borderlands 3 with the arrival of the Maliwan Takedown update along with the Good Juju, Vosk’s Deathgrip, and some other Legendary weapons.
It is one of the most balanced Sniper Rifles that you can obtain in the game and is a must have for every loadout. Among Sniper Rifles the Tankman’s Shield has the highest damage so far. And if you didn’t have a good Sniper Rifle till now then you should definitely get this.
So what is so special about the Tankman’s Shield? Well, this weapon has a special trait where every elimination adds weapon damage to the next magazine. Which means if you eliminate an enemy and burn through your entire magazine then the next shot of the next magazine will deal almost 20% more damage.

Where to find Tankman’s Shield
Fortunately, the Tankman’s Shield is not a World drop and has a dedicated drop source. In order to get the Tankman’s Shield you will have to farm Captain Traunt. You can find Captain Traunt at Athenas.
But you cannot get the drop so easily as this weapon is only available at Mayhem 4 difficulty. So you need to farm Captain Traunt at Mayhem 4 difficulty in order to get it to drop. On top of that this Sniper Rifle has an extremely low drop rate. So, make sure that you are well equipped as taking down Captain Traunt at Mayhem 4 difficulty can be very hard if don’t have a good enough loadout.
