Borderlands 3 – How to get Quasar

Wondering where can you find the Quasar in Borderlands 3? Here is how to get.

Borderlands 3 – How to get Quasar

Quasar – Description

Quasar is a Grenade Mod of the Legendary or Orange rarity in Borderlands 3. It is a very useful grenade to have in the inventory and after the MIRV Hex this is definitely my favorite grenade mod.

So what is so special about the Quasar? Well, this grenade when thrown releases arcs of electricity that chain to nearby enemies. It also pulls the enemies towards it for few seconds so get used to seeing enemies levitating in front of you.

This is also the only grenade you must have in order to do the Hoarder Tink glitch for infinite Legendary drops. The Quasar comes with only one element and that is Shock. The prefix might change but all the versions will come with Shock element.

The Quasar does not come from a particular manufacturer. The Quasar you just got can be from Atlas, Tediore, Hyperion or Torgue. The rolls and perks will vary. For example, the Atlas Quasar will be Homing, the Tediore Quasar will be Lobbed, the Hyperion Quasar will always be Longbow, etc. If you ask me, the best one is from Atlas that comes with Homing.

So lets take a look at the description of the Quasar. The one shown here is the Quasar by Atlas (Level 50):

  • Manufacturer : Atlas
  • Damage : 2134
  • Radius : 235
  • Homing
  • Quasar
  • Tesla
  • Red text : E=mc^(OMG)/w*f

Where to find Quasar?

Now, if you look up on the internet about the location of the Quasar, you will get flooded with information about it. Different sources claiming different locations. Even I got confused and finally decided to farm for it myself. So I went to farm Graveward, my most trusted source for getting Legendary loot. And like every time, I ended up getting what I wanted. I was at TVHM with difficulty set to Mayhem 3. Here is a video two Quasars from different manufacturers dropping for me from Graveward:

Yes you could also get the Quasar grenade mods from different sources but I cannot recommend them as I have not tried them. But always remember that bosses in Borderlands 3 have a higher chance of dropping Legendary loot than any other source.

That’s all folks!
