Looking for the Hive which is not from Destiny? You have come to the right place.
Borderlands 3 – How to get Hive
Hive – Weapon Description
The Hive is a Rocket Launcher of the Legendary or Orange rarity in Borderlands 3. Despite being a returning legendary from Borderlands 2, the Hive in Borderlands 3 is from Torgue which is unlike the one in Borderlands 2 that is from Maliwan. Also the Hive in Borderlands 2 comes with Corrosive element but in Borderlands 3, it comes with Radiation. It is a pretty good rocket launcher and can be very useful during your FFYL.
So what is so special about the Hive? Well, the Hive shoots a ball that looks like a bee hive and that ball spawns several homing rockets. The best way to use this is to hide behind a cover and shoot the ball towards the sky. Do not shoot it at the ground as the ball with explode without spawning any rockets.
Lets take a look at the description of the Hive (Level 50):
- Manufacturer : Torgue
- Damage : 2605
- Accuracy : 81%
- Handling : 41%
- Reload Time : 5.2s
- Fire Rate : 0.52/s
- Magazine Size : 8
- Red Text : Full bees.
Hive Location – Where to find it
In order to obtain the Hive you have to farm an enemy called Princess Tarantella II.
You can find Princess Tarantella II at The Splinterlands on Pandora. After you visit that location you will see Princess Tarantella spawn immediately. But it is not a guaranteed spawn and the weapon is not a guaranteed drop. The spawn rate of Princess Tarantella II has significantly increased during the Rare Spawn Hunt event though which is the week 2 of Borderlands 3 10 years anniversary celebration.
The path to Princess Tarantella II‘s location from the fast travel station is pretty straightforward. So, you shouldn’t have any difficulty farming her again and again. Your chances will significantly increase if you are on TVHM and Mayhem 2-3 difficulty. Here is the location:

Shoaib, 30, is a simple guy who loves to play video games, and enjoys new cuisines sporadically. He has been gaming since he was 7 years old, and with an experience of 22 years, under his belt, there is not a single AAA game in this world, that he hasn’t played. Despite being a MBA Graduate he decided to follow his passion. And because of his love for gaming, Frondtech came into existence.
I’ve tried farming Princess Tarantella II for over 80 hours and have not got the drop. I have gotten other legendaries though.
