P.A.T MK. III – Weapon Description

P.A.T MK. III is a SMG of the Legendary or Orange rarity in Borderlands 3. The weapon is a part of the fourth DLC called Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck. And is one of the best weapons that the dlc 4 has to offer.

It is a Tediore weapon, which means it can be chucked at enemies by pressing the reload button for some extra damage. Now every Tediore weapon other than the PAT MK 3 works in the same way. The more bullets you have in the magazine, the more damage you will deal after the chucking the weapon. Less bullets means less damage. P.A.T MK. III on the other hand dose the same chuck damage whether the magazine is full or has a single bullet left. So you can only imagine how overpowered this weapon can in the hands of Moze players.

Just to show you how insanely overpowered this weapon is, Joltzdude139 has put out an amazing Moze build with the P.A.T MK. III. Here it is:

How to get the P.A.T MK. III (Drop Location)

P.A.T MK. III drops from mini boss called SpongeBoss BulletPants on Castle Crimson in Krieg’s Mind. You obviously need to start the Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC in order to get access to the mentioned locations. Here is the exact location of SpongeBoss BulletPants:

Just spawn at Castle Crimson – The Walls and walk over to the location shown above. It is a pretty straightforward walk, so you shouldn’t have any problem finding the location.

Now, it is true that SpongeBoss BulletPants is a mini boss. But he is extremely powerful and probably more tanky that the main bosses of the DLC 4. There is a reason his name is “Sponge” boss, he is a bullet sponge. If you do not have a good build and a extremely high DPS weapon, then you will most probably run out of bullets in all your weapons before you can eliminate him. The farm was not that difficult for me as I was using a powerful Fl4k Fade Away build (also suggested by Joltzdude139) along with the Monarch in Bipod mode.

Regarding the drop rate of the Blood-Starved Beast, the gun is a fairly common drop from the boss. I did only three runs and I actually managed to get one in every run. I was farming at Mayhem 10 on Normal Mode.
