Beacon BL3 – Drop Location
Beacon drops from Kormash on Ashfall Peaks – Caldera Stronghold at Gehenna. You need to obviously first go and start the Bounty of Blood DLC in order to get access to the mentioned locations. Here is the exact location of Kormash :
Just spawn at Ashfall Peaks – Caldera Stronghold and make your way to the end of the map. It is a long walk if you are doing this for the first time. Once you reach the location you will notice a save point nearby. So you can just quit to main menu after you defeat Kormash and you will spawn just in front of the location of Kormash next time you load in the game. Also, you will come across a lot of enemies while on your way to Kormash. You can either choose to eliminate them or avoid them.
Kormash is the boss of Ashfall Peaks so make sure you are rocking a decent build and some good weapons. The good thing is this boss doesn’t have shields. So you shouldn’t have much trouble taking him down quickly.
Now regarding the drop rate of Beacon, I have managed to get only 2 Beacons so far. One was from Kormash and another one was a World Drop. I have eliminated Kormash more that 30 times till now, but I haven’t got more than one yet. So I am guessing that the drop rate of this weapon is a extremely low. I was farming at Mayhem 6 difficulty at Normal Mode(TVHM off).
Beacon – Weapon Stats and Description
Lets take a look at the weapon stats of Beacon. The one shown here is the Expert Beacon (Level 60):

Beacon is a Pistol of the Legendary or Orange rarity in Borderlands 3. The weapon is a part of the third DLC called Bounty of Blood. And is probably one of the better Legendary weapons that this DLC has to offer. It is good to see that Gearbox has given some love to the pistols in this DLC 3. Pistols like the Unkempt Harold, Miscreant, Beacon, etc, are really awesome additions to the game.
Speaking about the Beacon, it is a Maliwan pistol and it does come with double elements that you can switch between. This pistol has fast fire rate, high damage and high accuracy. Overall this is an extremely balanced weapon which you should have no problem using, even at Mayhem 10 difficulty.

You can see that despite being at Level 58, Beacon easily took down Kormash who is at level 68.
