What is this bug all about?
AC Valhalla is filled with quests, big and small. And they are all are pretty different from each other. Quests in games like AC Valhalla do the job of educating players about the mechanics and the lore of the game. Without them a RPG title is incomplete.
But it looks like a the ‘A Seer’s Solace’ quest is stopping a lot of people from progressing in the game. There already a ton of post regarding this on the Ubisoft Forums. Here is of the Forum users, who posted about this bug has to say:
The game will not allow me to complete the quest ‘A Seer’s Solace’. The quest won’t track on my HUD or my map and when I go to the place specified in the quest description, I am not able to talk to anyone to proceed with the quest.
Quest was tracked on my map before updating the game to 1.0.2
The post got a lot of replies from other users who are experiencing something similar. Here is one of them:
Progression breaking bug – cannot start A Seers Solace quest. Am right at the beginning. Spoke to Randvi and she suggested I talk to the seer on the mountain. The quest is not available in my quests list and if I go to the seer on the mountain nothing happens. I cannot progress story. I am on PS4 and have reloaded my save several times. The quest is never loaded into my quests list and cannot be started. This new forum design is terrible and the UI breaks on my phone btw.
How to fix this bug?
The good news is there is a fix for this bug, and the bad news is, it isn’t working for everybody. The funny thing is, the person who posted about this bug in the first place, came out with a fix all by himself. Lets take a loot at the fix he suggested:
I fixed it by deleting the software and reinstalling the game from disk. I have been playing on version 1.0.0 and haven’t had any more bugs that have stopped me progressing.
Another user called /thunderwolf0909 actually confirmed that this fix is actually working:
Hi,
solution is uninstall the game, reinstall and don’t update the game to 1.0.2. Do the quest and update after.
Be careful you can’t load your save, you need to restart all.
