The main weakness of Armarouge in Pokemon scarlet and violet is water. However, there are other additional weaknesses too that you can make use of in a battle other than water type. They are:
- Ground
- Rock
- Dark
- Ghost
Any of these types will give you the upper hand that you need. A Pokemon that can greatly counter Armarouge is Tyranitar. It is immune to Armarouge’s Psychic type moves and also can significantly defend its fire-type moves. To get Tyranitar, you will have to evolve Larvitar.
Another Pokemon that can go against Armarouge easily is Houndoom. This is due to it being immune to the STAB attacks by Armarouge with the use of Flash Fire ability.
Resists and Immunities of Armarouge
Armarouge is not immune to any attacks at all. However, there are a few attacks that we recommend that you avoid in a battle with Armarouge, because it will simply absorb them. They are:
- Grass
- Ice
- Fire
- Psychic
- Fighting
- Fairy
- Steel
Location of Armarouge
Sadly, the only way that you can get Armarouge is through evolving Charcadet. This means that you won’t just happen to come across it in the Paldea region. You will need to find a Charcadet instead that will evolve into Armarouge eventually when you use the Auspicious Armor. Here is a complete guide to that.
An important thing to note is that Armarouge is Scarlet exclusive, and the Violet players can get it via trading. So, find someone who has evolved a Charcadet and connect with them.
