The Krypt in Mortal Kombat 11 is filled with secrets and can sometimes be very confusing. There are a lot of small puzzles that players will have to solve in order for further progression. You would have to pay close attention to more or less everything inside the Krypt otherwise the journey would be a difficult one.
For example, just a few minutes after landing inside the Krypt, players will face their first challenge. And the challenge is a locked door which players will have to open in order to progress and there is no alternate path. The door cannot be opened normally, and there are certain tasks that need to be done in order to open it. You will remain stuck in The Courtyard until and unless you find a way to open the door. Here is how to open The Courtyard door inside the Krypt:
How to open the first Locked Courtyard Door inside the Krypt
Step 1
- Make sure to get Shao Kahn’s Hammer first. Break through the first door and you will land inside The Courtyard
Step 2
- After entering The Courtyard, you will notice that the door to exit is locked and there is no option to unlock it when you approach it. And there is no other way to move forward
Step 3
- You won’t be able to open the door normally. First, go to the area shown on the map below:
Step 4
- Once you reach the area, you will notice a cracked wall
Step 5
- Hit the cracked wall with Shao Kahn’s Hammer
Step 6
- Go through the entrance
Step 7
- You will now find yourself standing at an area with a chest with Shao Kahn’s face and a Gong
Step 8
- Just hit the Gong with Shao Kahn’s Hammer and you will successfully open or unlock the first door in The Courtyard
