This time, players have encountered another bug where their Model Detail setting on the Graphics Settings menu keeps resetting and keeps going back to Medium or High if they set it at Low. This is proving to be very annoying for players, and especially for those who play Apex Legends on low settings just to get some good performance.

Now, the Model Detail setting is a very important setting as it impacts the performance of your graphics card. If the Model Detail setting is set to high, and you don’t have a good graphics card to back it up then you will witness lag and stuttering every now and then. There are a few tweaks that might help with the lag fix, but they are not enough. So players need a permanent solution.   • Click on Home and select Apex Legends from the list [Do not click on Play yet]

  • If Apex Legends is not showing up for you on the list, then you need to add it manually. Click on the Settings icon in the top right corner

  • Click on Games located on the left bar

  • Now Add the Folder or Drive where you have installed Apex Legends on your PC

  • Now click on Scan

  • Now that Apex Legends is available on the list. Click on Home again and click on Apex Legends. A settings menu will appear on your screen where you will notice all your current graphics settings in Apex Legends

  • Click on the settings icon that looks like a spanner located on the mid-right side, just beside Revert

  • A new window will pop up called “Use custom settings”. Move the slider all the way to left, and you will see what changes in your graphics settings will take place. Click on Apply

  • Hit the Play button located on the top right

Once the game starts just go to your Graphics Settings and you will see that the Model Detail setting has changed. If you want, just change the other settings to suit your preference but avoid touching the Model Detail setting. This is the only fix to this Model Detail bug until Respawn releases a permanent fix for this.
