Battlefield V (BF5) Firestorm – Switch To Sidearm Bug – How To Fix

Online games are always the ones that get to experience that most amount of bugs and glitches. It is mainly because of the constant update these games have to go through every now and then. It is very common now. Developers releasing a fix only to break something else.

EA’s Battlefield V is also no stranger to bugs and glitches. Players keep on reporting frame drops, fps lag and all sorts of issues. Now, some bugs or glitches can be fixed very easily but some appear to be pretty serious and often end up being quite frustrating. Same is the case with Battlefield V’s new Battle Royale mode called Firestorm.

Recently, players have been witnessing a bug in Battlefield V Firestorm where they are unable to use their pistol or sidearm when in need. They have been experiencing a massive delay when they are trying to switch to their secondary from their primary. We know that in battle royale games, where you have to do anything and everything to survive, using a single weapon throughout the whole match is a bad idea because you might end up in a situation where you are out of primary ammo in your magazine and reloading is not option. What we normally do then? We obviously switch to our secondary weapon and continue the fight. And experiencing a sudden delay during this process just because of a bug is the last thing players would want to see.

But you don’t need to worry as we have got everything covered in this guide. This fix was suggested by a reddit user with the name ‘GorrilaGrodd‘. Here is how to fix sidearm switch bug in Battlefield V Firestorm:
